Fire Engineer – All Grades

Role overview

As a Tenos Engineer you will be involved in a wide variety of fire engineering projects and have the opportunity to broaden your skillset and develop specialisms in line with your interests.

You will be working with experienced Engineers to generate and evaluate innovative fire solution strategies for prominent clients. You will be involved in project-delivery, liaising with clients and enforcing authorities and preparing tenders for fire consultancy. You will create programs of work, attend site visits and assist with the implementation of quality control procedures. Our mentoring and development programme will focus on developing your competencies to increase your knowledge and skills within the industry.

• External: Clients and client design team, enforcing authorities
• Internal: People and Planning Manager, Directors, Managers and Technical Colleagues

Essential Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the fire safety engineering field or relevant engineering discipline (e.g. building services engineering or structural engineering)

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate application of fire principles, regulatory and technical knowledge
• Manage small projects from inception to completion under supervision
• Assist colleagues in various aspects of project completion to further develop own technical skills and knowledge
• Develop awareness of responsibilities of professional engineer
• Demonstrate full use of Tenos Quality Assurance practices
• Manage time responsibly
• Adapt and be flexible to the needs of the business
• Ensure your own well-being
• Comply with the IFEs Code of Professional Conduct
• Work within Tenos quality control standards and procedures
