Fire Risk Assessment & Risk Management

Understand your risk, and take control of it.

Service — Fire Risk Assessment & Risk Management

The Challenge

Managing fire risk over time and change.

Buildings, occupants, operations, and fire safety arrangements change. That means risk needs to be actively managed, reviewed, and reduced over time rather than captured in a report and revisited only when the next assessment is due.

Tenos helps clients connect the assessment with the management arrangements, actions, monitoring, and continual improvement that follow.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Who needs a fire risk assessment?

The legal duties depend on the premises and jurisdiction, but in England and Wales, the Responsible Person must ensure an appropriate fire risk assessment is carried out for premises within the scope of the Fire Safety Order.

What happens after the assessment?

The assessment should inform a prioritised programme of action. Tenos can provide continued support with risk reduction, management planning, policies, monitoring, and review.

How often should a fire risk assessment be reviewed?

It should remain under review and be revisited when circumstances change or where there is reason to believe it is no longer valid. The appropriate review frequency depends on the premises and risk.

Can Tenos support complex estates?

We work with building owners and operators across complex estates, including healthcare and PFI environments, where fire safety responsibilities and priorities may span multiple buildings and stakeholders.

Do you provide Fire Safety Management Plans?

Yes — Tenos develops bespoke FSMPs covering responsibilities, procedures, implementation, training, monitoring, maintenance, and review.
